SC rules vs INC contractor wanted in Korea

The Supreme Court has thumbed down the motion of a Korean contractor of the Philippine Arena for a writ of amparo. The high court said Ja Hoon Ku, who is allegedly wanted in South Korea for stealing $200 million, did not substantiate his claim that his life was in danger. The Supreme Court has ruled that a Korean fugitive wanted for stealing $200-million from his company in Korea is not entitled to protection against government authorities running after him.
With a 13-0 vote, the high court ruled that Ja Hoon Ku, a contractor of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (INC) Philippine Arena, is not entitled to a writ of amparo.

Amparo is a rule of procedure that is anchored on one’s right to life, liberty and security. A writ of amparo is meant to force government authorities to disclose details concerning extrajudicial killing or enforced disappearance.
Earlier, Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Paulino Gallegos granted the writ of amparo sought by Ku. The continuing Saga of Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. and Mr. Ja Hoon Ku

“Mr. Ku attended his first worship service in South Korea which was officiated by Brother Jun (Glicerio B. Santos Jr.). With the aid of a translator, he was able to understand the lesson. In fact, despite the language barrier, he was visibly moved by the singing. of hymns, the fervent prayers, and the orderliness and spirituality of the entire worship service. He recounted, “I was observing Brother Jun and the brethren during their stay here [in South Korea]. I admire their helpfulness, trust, and instant camaraderie even though they were just introduced to each other.”

Then one day, the whole world was startled when we saw the news on TV about JA HOON KU who was arrested for embezzling $200 Million in Korea. But surprisingly he was suddenly released by the swift order of Sec. Pacquito Ochoa and was given to the custody of Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. This act of Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. of flexing the organizational muscle of the Church in influencing Government officials to obey his orders at the expense of Church’ reputation, is truly unbecoming of a Minister. He not only put the name of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in a bad light, feeding a negative news frenzy for quite sometime for harboring a criminal. But surprisingly, Malacañang kept quite about it, then one by one, the news buzz died down…

He took him in, protected his beloved convert, and ofcourse the http://www.theiglesianicristo.blogspot.com gave their opinion about the matter which is, as we all know now, NOT THE OFFICIAL STAND OF THE SANGGUNIAN, because according to THE PRISTINE TRUTH, the Sanggunian do not even know them or that they even existed… so ssshhhhh… hush hush we don’t want to blow their secret, since they too are afraid to reveal who they really are, just a pseudo name.

If that’s not being judgemental, I don’t know what is…

So what happened now with this Ja Hoon Ku? According to our anonymous-not-official-inc-stand-mr.know-it-all, The Pristine Truth: “Where is Ja now? Ja Hoon Ku is now back in South Korea! He even attended the dedication of the new House of Worship in South Korea. Thus, truly no irregularities, no anomalies took place. He was only temporarily entrusted to the INC until the Supreme Court made a final decision on his case. – Pristine Truth”

So that means, that Ja went all the trouble of evading his government for legal prosecution for his crime, ONLY to go to South Korea to attend the dedication of a new house of worship? Did I read this right Mr. Pristine? Well I guess, Mr. Pristine can provide proof of Mr. Ja’s whereabouts since he obviously knows everything about such church matters although he claims that he is in no way connected officially with the Church Administration, he just knows, period.

Because according to brethren who grabbed this picture from a proud member’s facebook page who was able to attend the gathering, Mr. Ja Hoon Ku was not there during the dedication of the House of Worship in South Korea since he is in hiding from the authorities, that is why his associate was the one who received the Plaque of Appreciation from the Church Administration:

But then again, we could be all wrong and Mr. Pristine could be right, because for all we know, he might have been actually there during the dedication of the house of worship in South Korea, and ofcourse we will take his word for it, he knows all these sensitive information inside the church, while the rest of the Church knows nothing. He knows where Ja Hoon Ku is while other government agents are still looking for him. Just Brilliant!

So now, the Judge that Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. used to favor Mr. Ja Hoon Ku is also in trouble according to the news: “The Supreme Court saw the defiance of Gallegos as disrespecting an order of the country’s highest court. “A resolution of the Supreme Court should not be construed as a mere request, and should be complied with promptly and completely. Such failure to comply accordingly betrays not only a recalcitrant streak in character, but also disrespect for the Court’s lawful order and directive,” the high court said. “Judge Gallegos should know that judges must respect the orders and decisions of higher tribunals, especially the Supreme Court from which all other courts take their bearings,” it added.The high tribunal continued, “When the judge himself becomes the transgressor of the law which he is sworn to apply, he places his office in disrepute, encourages disrespect for the law and impairs public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary itself.””

So according to the unofficial opinion of the non-Sanggunian-related Mr. Pristine, “Let’s not be judgemental”… So where is Ja Hoon Ku again Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr.? Since you are the custodial caretaker, and according to Mr. Pristine you are not hiding him, kindly inform the public where he is and please do the right thing and release him to the proper authorities, so you can atleast minimize the bad reputation you have inflicted upon the church administration and the church as whole. Everybody knows the political muscle of the Church (except Mr. Pristine or atleast he pretends to be too naive about it), that is why government officials bend to the will of the “powers that be”. But to use these powers for vested interest or in the favor of an individual at the expense of the whole church, is….is… *sigh*, I am already at a loss for words, you be the one to call it as it is. And anybody who’s stupid enough to think that Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. had no hand in this fiasco is probably in too much denial or is in need of a CT Scan of the head.

Lastly, please allow me to quote this:“When the judge himself becomes the transgressor of the law which he is sworn to apply, he places his office in disrepute, encourages disrespect for the law and impairs public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary itself.”

If there is a profession most honorable, most respected and most revered above all profession, it is the holy MINISTRY inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo. So if among the judiciary, Judges are expected to have the highest level of integrity, what more for the Ministers of the Iglesia Ni Cristo… So when the Minister himself becomes the transgressor of the Doctrines which he is sworn to apply, he places his Ministry in disrepute, encourages disrespect for the Doctrines and impairs the brethren’s confidence in the integrity of the Ministry itself….

In the spirit of our successful 2 Million views to date (April 19, 2015 – June 27, 2015: 2 months and 8 days or basically just 68 days old, 82 posts, garnering a total of 2,008,309 Views), commemorating this global phenomenon, let me share this article highlighting the global church, our beloved Iglesia Ni Cristo, and the previously invisible global power of…… THE SANTOS FAMILY, which will now be thoroughly EXPOSED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. I will prove to you that in the present day Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ), power is concentrated in the hands of a few individuals, notably in the members of the Advisory Council, but none greater than in the Santos family. I am, of course, referring to Bro. Jun Santos, his wife Annie, his sons Sergie and GP as well as his brother in the United States, Manuel (“Boy”) Santos, also a minister. Bro. Jun’s scope of control has gone way beyond auditing of the finances and activities of the Church, for potential elimination of wastage and inefficiencies — the typical role of a General Auditor, which, by the way, is his official designation in the Church. In practice, Bro. Jun wears many different hats. He is the chief strategist and major influencer (if not decision maker) in matters concerning the construction of houses of worship and other buildings including the Philippine Arena, sports complex and stadium. He is the contract negotiator, reviewer, and approver for various construction projects including signing off on contracts for materials and labor. He decides (or is a major influencer on) which long-term assets to acquire when, and which ones to dispose of, for how much, and through whom. He is also the master architect behind all the Guinness-motivated, traffic-disrupting Lingap (Aid to Humanity) activities, medical and dental missions, major propagation projects, centennial and closing centennial celebrations.

In addition, he is the brains behind the production, marketing, and forcible distribution of various UNLAD products to brethren as well as the crafting of an effective payment collection scheme. Co-ministers will attest that he decides on the fate of his fellow ministers, i.e., who gets promoted, demoted, reassigned, taken down, or worse, expelled. And lest we forget, he is also the mastermind behind the creation of the never-ending special, special offerings and the corresponding bended-knee style of devotional prayers to guilt the brethren into giving more. And if you will be able to ask around, every District, every Office, every Section, every Department in the whole of Central and other Bureaus, there is only one name who calls the shots, who makes the decisions, who gives the Go-Signal, who Approves anything and Everything, who has the power to STOP anything and everything, and unfortunately that is no longer the name of our beloved Executive Minister, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, ALARMINGLY, IT IS NOW THE RESONATING NAME THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE CHURCH, BRO. GLICERIO B. SANTOS JR. The Phrase: Sa atas ng Tagapamahalang Pangkalahatan or At the instruction of the Executive Minister, is now just a “fine print” for technicality’s sake.

As you will see later in this article, this Santos family has surreptitiously, deceitfully and deliberately injected themselves into almost every facet of the Church, MAKING THE SANTOS FAMILY AN INDISPENSABLE FIGURE IN THE CHURCH. In fact, he and his family are directly involved in the executive and day-to-day management of INC companies notably FYM Foundation, the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation, UNLAD, F. Y. Medical Foundation (New Era General Hospital), Maligaya Development Corp., and New Era University (by extension, also the College of Evangelical Ministry). Their power extends not only in the Philippines but globally wherever the Church has a presence. In the United States, Bro. Jun Santos may keep younger sibling Boy on a leash but make no mistake. Bro. Boy Santos is a ruler in his own fiefdom, the Iglesia ni Cristo United States Main Office (USMO). According to fellow ministers in the U.S., he is every bit the tyrant that his older brother is. To those who do not know, USMO “acts as an extension of the Church Administration, assisting in overseeing a vast portion of the globe.” (Ref. http://incmedia.org/usmo-united-states-main-office/). Bro. Boy’s equivalent at the Europe Main Office also bows down to Bro Jun. With so much power to wield and a vast resources at this family’s disposal, is it any wonder the Church is plagued by allegations of: corruption among the Church hierarchy, bribery, political wheeling and dealing, harboring a fugitive, unabashed capitalism, furtive business ventures, more and more Church properties being offered for sale, unexplained wealth of those in the Advisory Council, ministers leading an opulent lifestyle discordant with their stipend, “express” expulsions of suspected brethren dissidents and complete disregard for due process and long established procedures ?

In the words of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, “Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws”. Or put another way, he who controls the purse strings… makes the rules. Or, in our days, He who bears the name Glicerio B. Santos Jr., controls the Church and everything in it. (On how Bro. Glicerio B. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s proceed to our storyboard. At the end of this presentation, I am convinced that even if you are on the fence about some of the allegations above, you will arrive at the ONLY possible conclusion that you can come to — that Mr. Rothschild is correct and what he said applies in this case. First off, why don’t we do a quick search for “Glicerio Santos” in the Open Corporates database?

20 matches! Does that surprise you? Bro. Jun sure is popular, isn’t he? And so are his sons, both named “Glicerio Santos”, III and IV, also known as Sergie and GP, respectively. Take note that the search results do not include the Philippines. For our study, why don’t we start there, since that is where it all began? What you will see below is a product of collaborative research among many AE’s in different parts of the world. They have voluntarily come together to lend their respective expertise from Local and International Accounting firms, Local and International Legal Firms and even Consultants to different related Government Agencies, bound by a common desire to expose the truth, as ugly as it may be, for the benefit of the Church so that it may return to its rightful state, a clean and unblemished Iglesia Ni Cristo. Please take note that all the materials/references used in their research are duly noted so that anyone wishing to verify may be able to do so. And anyone who wants to disprove anything I have presented here will also be demanded the same level of competency in data gathering and presentation. These matrices have been provided as a summary to give a bird’s eye-view of the comparative information based on the different available documented sources.

To summarize, in the Philippines, the father and his 2 sons dominate the landscape while the wife has UNLAD covered. In some cases, Glicerio Jr., III and IV are all members of the same Board as is the case with FYM Foundation, Subic Bay-FYM Foundation, and the F. Y. Medical Foundation which operates the New Era General Hospital. This seems to be an ongoing trend because those three men are also on the Board of Trustees of the planned, soon-to-rise, Erano G. Manalo Medical Center, an 11-storey 1st class modern hospital to be built in Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan and most probably for everything else yet to come. Here’s the General Information Sheet (GIS) filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) just this past December 2014 for this Medical Center:

So what does this all mean? Is it bad for members of the same family to be on the same Board? The answer lies in the role of the Board, as spelled out in the company’s By-Laws. Essentially, Board members are very, very powerful creatures. Company officers serve at the Board’s pleasure. The Board can elect them, extend their term, demote them, replace them, or fire them. However, in a system that has neither respect nor appreciation for checks and balances, if you look at the GIS above, in addition to being members of the Board, ALL THREE SANTOSES ARE ALL OFFICERS! Not only that, the Santoses also enjoy an automatic majority! 3 out of 5 total board members! This means that whatever they say, goes. Followed like it’s spoken by God Himself! If they want to unseat Sis. Kristine as CEO, for example, they can do so. If they want to donate all the money and assets to a certain bank account or even to a new foundation, oh let’s say…. a Glicerio B. Santos Jr. Foundation, they can easily do it by voting for it, why, because they have the power of the MAJORITY VOTE on the board.

Thanks to whomever crafted the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, it’s perfectly legal! Meaning they can legally do anything they want with these corporations/foundations and they can get away with it, because they made it in such a way, that THE SANTOSES HAVE THE FIRST AND LAST SAY ABOUT ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY HAVE MAJORITY VOTE. I guess a lot of you are pretty surprised (probably not Mr. Pristine Truth though, because they probably know this already and it’s no secret to them, only to the rest of us) with these astonishing revelations, (as the TV-home shopping line goes…) BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE… WAY WAY MORE… Sadly, the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation’s GIS paints the same grim picture. 3 out of 5 automatic majority for the Santoses!

The only difference is GP is not currently an officer but should he wish to become one and his father and brother agree with him, that can easily be accomplished. Just bump Sis. Kristine off the Vice President spot, for instance, and put GP in her stead. All theoretically possible with a 3-to-5 majority vote! With FYM Foundation and F.Y. Medical Foundation, there are 7 Board members, which simply means they have to sway only one member to their side for them to have the majority.

Now let’s take a closer look at the rows labeled Total Assets and Gross Receipts (copied below).

A-m-a-z-i-n-g, isn’t it? If you are like me when I saw this for the first time, you should now close your mouth. It is not good to keep it hanging wide open like that. Look at the figures for NEU. Those are not typos. We double and triple-checked. Yep, billions, not millions! Now combine these numbers with the others. Take note that this does not yet include the assets of the Church, or the gross receipts from our offerings. Those numbers are classified. But even so… Now imagine the Santos family. The family who has control over this vast fortune. Does it seem surprising then that they are able to get away with a lot of things? Remember what Mr. Rothschild said. “Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws”. Think, brethren, why would they care about something as trivial as the law when they can buy the law, manipulate the law, shape the law, and trash the law, if they so desire? Even the laws inside the Church and the processes established during the two previous administrations are not exempt. They can be (and have been) ignored, disrespected, and replaced. That is why we can now understand why so many regulations in the church, especially in the Finance Department, Missionary Department, Edification Department, Ministry Department, wait…. actually in all the Departments in the Church, there are so many eyebrow-raising changes in the past few years, and we yet we wonder why are all these things allowable now…. NOW WE KNOW WHY. I can stop right here, brethren, and leave you to your thoughts. But in all fairness to our researchers who have painstakingly done the analysis for FYM Foundations abroad, let us just very quickly review the remaining tables.

They pretty much tell the same story as those presented earlier, at least 2 Santoses serving on the Board or as officers of these FYM Foundations. WHY? SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THE BEST MOVE THEY CAN DO IS TO DEEPLY ENTRENCH THEMSELVES INTO THE SYSTEM SO THAT THEY CAN NO LONGER BE TAKEN OUT. EXPELLING THE SANTOS FAMILY IS LIKE TRYING TO GET A NEEDLE OUT OF MOUNTAIN OF A HAY STACK. YOU’LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH A BARRAGE OF NEVER ENDING LEGAL OBSTACLES (Echoing “Walang Ending….”). THEY DESIGNED IT TO BE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE, IT CAN’T BE DONE, NOT BY ME, NOT BY ANY BRETHREN, NOT BY JUST ANYONE…. IT CAN ONLY BE DONE BY OUR BELOVED EXECUTIVE MINISTER HIMSELF.

This is truly “THE MOST” almost-perfect-masterplan of them all. Why almost perfect? Because Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr. forgot one tiny detail…. OUR LORD GOD OWNS THIS CHURCH, THE SAME ALMIGHTY GOD WHO CHOSE BROTHER EDUARDO V. MANALO AND PLACED HIM TO LEAD THIS CHURCH AS THE EXECUTIVE MINISTER, AND EVIL WILL NEVER TRIUMPH OVER GOOD. And our Lord God will not allow anybody to manipulate nor destroy His Church. I guess, Ka Jun, never expected, even in his wildest nightmares, that the day will come when all these things will be exposed. Yes, these things that he probably just forgot to mention to the church when he was scribbling his church domination agenda while writing his memoirs for the upcoming Glicerio Santos Jr. Coffee Table Book.

So with all these revelations now out in the open, and it is by far, JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG in Ka Jun Santos’ power and control over the church since we were just able to show you a fraction of the FYM Foundations (Phils. and US), imagine the rest of the FYM Foundations and other entities all over the world. SO BY VIRTUE OF HIS LEGAL POSITIONS IN ALL THE DIFFERENT ENTITIES OF THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO, HE IS NOW TECHNICALLY, THE MOST POWERFUL PERSON IN THE WHOLE CHURCH OF CHRIST. BASICALLY IT MEANS HE CAN DO ANYTHING HE WANTS. WHETHER WE ACCEPT IT OR NOT. The facts are in, the proofs are presented, we can either close our eyes again and pretend we never saw these things, pretend that we do not feel that there is actually something majorly wrong inside the Church, or wait for the next ABSURD EXCUSE they can concoct in order to twist the truth and make us live a make-believe life again or we can now finally really open our eyes to the glaring TRUTH, investigate even more, scrutinize and verify the facts, weigh the evidences, accept the truth and throw away the lies that they try so hard to feed us in order to continue hiding the inevitable truth. Let us all be vigilant and be steadfast in our faith, know for a fact that leaving the church or growing cold in our duties to God is never the answer. We should all unite in exposing the corruption brought about by the Ministers in the Sanggunian and their cohorts, not to disgrace the Church (the Sanggunian has successfully done that already), but to be able to fight the many different forms of corruption that is damaging the Church. Let us remain firm in our belief that evil men who took advantage of the church should be taken out of the fold, and not us, the faithful members and DEFENDERS OF THE CHURCH. We should increase our faith everyday in the belief that our Lord God is moving steadfastly for the benefit of His people, we should endure this test and grow stronger in our hope and love for the Church in order to finish our race for Salvation.

And after we have done all our part as members of the Church of Christ in these last days, after we have toiled and labored for the Church, after we have diligently followed His teachings and commandments, then we can only but, leave everything in the mighty hands of our Lord God for we have done our part as His children. It is our firm faith that God, will not forsake his chosen ones, He will protect, guide and strengthen our beloved Executive Minister whom He has placed in front of us to fight all forms of evil and to lead God’s chosen people until we reach the perfection of our faith. Let us all continue praying to our Lord God everyday, especially during our devotional prayers at 10PM, during our worship services and our personal devotional prayers. Let us continue to beseech our Lord God, to help His Church, to help Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, to help the Family of Ka Eraño G. Manalo, to help all the brethren, wherever they may be, whatever situation they may be in, that we may all be guided by the Holy Spirit in discerning the Truth, so that we may all be STRONG INSTRUMENTS of our Lord God in exposing the cancerous gangrene of corruption plaguing the Church so that it can be eradicated completely, so that we can safely return the Church to its rightful state, A CLEAN AND UNBLEMISHED STATE OF THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO, WORTHY TO ATTAIN SALVATION COME JUDGEMENT DAY.

We need not be afraid, because with God’s help and His perfect timing, all these trials will come to pass, and we will rejoice in His name and continue with the performance of our duties and our heartfelt worship services to our Lord God. God bless us all for us to be able to pass this greatest test of our faith.

A large and valiant militia, consisting of hundreds of Christians, has been formed to fight against the Islamic persecution and invasion of Christian lands in Iraq. They number in the dozens, they adorn themselves with crosses hanging from their necks, they have denied the self, they are filled with contrition, they are ready to fight the enemies of God, their hearts are prepared to endure holy war, their minds are set on the precepts of Heaven, their very beings are taken by the Word of God, “piercing even to the division of soul and spirit” (Hebrews 4:12). They call themselves the “Ketaeb Babylon.”

According to another Ketaeb Babylon commander, there are “hundreds of Christian fighters located now in various areas of Salaheddin… in addition to others responsible for protecting churches in Baghdad province.” As hundreds have already been recruited, the numbers of volunteers to “fight the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization” is continuing, he said.

They hang around their necks wooden crosses, just as the Crusaders of old did when — in the old relic of Christendom — the Christians placed the Cross on their chests and on their shoulders, beautifully manifesting the words of Christ: “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Mark 8:34)

They are training to retake their homes that were captured by ISIS in areas in like Mosul which was captured last year. When the heretic Muslims overtook Christian neighborhood and areas, they were given the choice to convert, leave, pay the tax, or die. Most of them fled, but some wanted to fight back, and these are the men who are determined to take up the whip and the Cross, to strike the thieves of lives and those who prey upon souls, and drive them away from the holy Temple of God, that is, the Body of Christ, “the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you” (1 Corinthians 6:19). In fact, the majority of the “Ketaeb Babylon” unit are from Mosul.

The militia trains in a military base near the Baghdad airport, and some Muslims are actually training them on how to use the AK-47, and how to utilize basic combat maneuvers. But this does not mean that they forget Christianity, for as they present themselves in their military parades, they cry out to the mother of our Hope, chanting Ya Mariam (Oh, Mary!).

Now, why would they do this? The wife of Ahasuerus, Esther, commanded the death of Haman, Jael, the mother of Barak, “blessed be she in her tent” (Judges 5:24), struck the head of Sisera with a nail, and Deborah exhorted Barak to fight the enemies of God, and Mary, whose Seed — Jesus Christ — shall bruise the head of the old serpent (Genesis 3:15), and whose image was hoisted above the ship in the Battle of Lepanto, when the Christians crushed the Muslims, told our Lord, “They have no wine.” (John 2:3)

And as Christ transformed the water to wine, ocean of peoples who are His enemies “shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation” and they shall be thrown “into the great winepress of the wrath of God.” (Revelation 14:19-20)

So as Mary was the one who requested more wine, so shall she be with Christ in the day when He makes the oceans of His enemies into blood. For the Scripture says, “the Lord my God will come, And all the saints with You.” (Zechariah 14:5) And the Apostle speaks of “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.” (1 Thessalonians 3:13). Would not Mary be among the saints, and would she not — by her very actions and Faith — have a great position amongst the saints, having gathered so many treasures in Heaven? So then these Christian militants, as the Christian warriors of old, express their honor towards Mary, the mother of our Salvation.

One of the Christian soldiers, 17-year-old Chaldean Christian Frank Samir, made it every clear that this battle against the Muslim terrorists is a holy war:

"We heard that the Christians had an opportunity for jihad (holy war), and we all came and volunteered… Our children are dying; our Christian families were displaced. How do we ourselves accept that people say the Christians are not fighting? On the contrary, we want to fight everywhere"

Notice how they use the word “jihad.” Now, this does not mean that the Christians took a Muslim word, or that they adopted the Islamic concept of holy war. No. It is only another indication that the Muslims took the idea of holy war from Christianity, and applied it to themselves. The original jihad (or the idea of holy war or struggle against the enemies of God) was a Christian concept. Islam, being a Christian heresy, took this concept and gave it an Arabic word, and advanced their own heresy through the use of holy war. Christianity has holy war, but it is for righteousness. Islam has holy war, but it is for evil.

Fares Issa, aged 38, said:

"I did not hesitate to volunteer with my brothers to fight Daesh (ISIS) …I will continue fighting (them) until the liberation of Mosul and their expulsion from all the areas of Ira"

In their training center the Christians display a large Cross, and alongside the Cross are the words: “God is greatest” and “There is no god but God.”

There are nine training courses, and each course is two weeks. Rayan al-Kaldani, the secretary general of Ketaeb Babylon, said:

"The main aim of forming our forces is the liberation of Mosu… We took part in the operations to liberate the city of Tikrit and other operations, including Baiji, in Salaheddin provinc"

According to Kaldani, the Christian soldiers are under the command of Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis, who is amongst the top commanders in the “Popular Mobilisation” forces, which consists mainly of Shiite fighters.

One commander who calls himself Hajji Ali, a leader of one of the Shiite units said that the training “focuses on close-quarters combat, unconventional warfare and war inside the cities. …Their eyes are on Mosul and the areas occupied by Daesh”.

The volunteers say Mosul is the main goal, but their fight is not limited to that city.

Mosul “is our first aim,” said 16-year-old Raymoun Salwan, who was displaced from the city.

But “I will continue to fight terrorism wherever it goes in Iraq and every place,” he said.

Ka AE, kayo na pong bahalang magtago sa identity ko o anumang pagkakakilanlan ko para hindi po ako mapahamak maging ang aking kaibigan. Sana po ay lalo pa kayong patnubayan para lubusan ninyong mailantad ang mga kamalian ngayon sa Iglesia na pilit nilang pinagtatakpan kaya lalong lumalalim pa tuloy ang mga isyu ng corruption. According to conventional wisdom Islam was a civilized and enlightened creed during the Dark Ages, while the Christian world was wallowing in depravity and ignorance. Islam was, therefore, the guardian and savior of all ancient science, knowledge and wisdom. But that is not true in the slightest. Islam took over many highly educated and highly advanced regions of the Byzantine Empire, at the point of the sword, and forced whole populations to convert to Islam. There were many sects in those times, just like the Alawi, Alevi, Ahmadiyya, Su, Druze and Ishmailis of the modern era, who adopted a cloak of Islam to avoid persecution and death. Those who refused to change their beliefs were forced to live as dhimmis - they were effectively reduced to serfdom in their own lands. The Jewish, Christian and Sabaean dhimmis of the East did the work and paid the taxes, while their Muslim overlords ran the administration and army, and lived in comparative luxury. This is how dhimmi unbelievers have to live in a Muslim controlled society, as the long-suffering Christians of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey fully understand. Christians don’t bother complaining that their Muslim neighbour has wronged them, because the social and legal system will not help them in the slightest. Even in supposedly modern and Westernised Turkey, a friend of many years whispered that he was not really Muslim but had to say that he was to keep his job. He made me swear not to tell anyone, that his family had been secret Christians for generations. (Read more here)

Protestant Leaders Declare Reunification of Churches Under the Holy See

VATICAN CITY (24/7 News)– Following more than five hundred years of separation, American and European Protestant leaders met with Pope Francis last week to finalize the reunification of the two churches under the Holy See. The historic agreement is the result of a year’s worth of unpublicized talks between Protestant leaders and the Vatican.

Prominent American pastors Joel Osteen and Rick Warren, respectively, as well as Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, were among the Protestant delegation that met with Pope Francis last week. Pastor Warren, founder of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, spoke with members of the international press in St. Peter’s Square, saying, “Protestants, as a people, have a long history of heresy. The time for reconciliation is now in order to ensure a full and dogmatic transition into the folds of the Church.”

Moments before meeting with reporters, the entire Protestant delegation, for the first time ever, entered the confessional to take part, individually, in the Sacrament of Penance. “It’s important that we participate in these sacred rituals before asking our congregation to do the same,” Pastor Osteen said, adding that his time in confession was “an immensely moving experience.”

As Protestants around the world make the transition to Catholicism, many are wondering what, exactly, that means for them. “First and foremost we acknowledge the Pope’s infallibility with regard to universal moral declarations, the authority of Church magistrate, faith, and ex cathedra,” said Father Cliff Brogan, a former Protestant pastor who was the first of the delegation to be ordained as a priest at the Vatican. “Secondly, we participate in the sacrament of the Eucharist by accepting the actual body and blood of Christ, an event known as Transubstantiation, at the conclusion of the holy mass.”

As part of their induction into the Catholic faith, all Protestants above the age of fifteen are required to undergo a Catholic Confirmation, one of three sacraments of initiation, out of seven total, which Catholics can receive. “Most, if not all, of us have been baptized,” said Father Brogran. “However, without formal Confirmation, our Protestant baptisms will be null, thus preventing us from entering the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Additionally, during the transition period, American Protestant families whose children attend Sunday School are to receive vouchers allowing them to participate in CCD programs at area Catholic churches.

In a show of support for the reunification under the Holy See, the United Kingdom announced Wednesday that it is taking steps to reunify Northern Ireland with The Republic of Ireland. The government of the UK has acknowledged the stark differences between the two countries, but according to one official, “We are, for the first time, one people, united under the Bishop of Rome, acting together as the bride and servant of Christ.”

Bro. Isaias T. Samson Jr., former Editor-in-Chief of Pasugo Magazine, and his wife Myrna, were expelled today, together with Bro. Jerson T. Samson Jr. and his family. Bro. Isaias and Jerson are brothers, both faithful and honest ministers, who have served the Church for a very long time. Bros. Radel V. Cortez and Matt Pareja led the house arrest and the interrogation. Reports have surfaced that the Samson brothers were both tortured and harmed physically in a futile attempt to get a confession.

Another minister, Bro. Arnel Tumanan, has been placed under house arrest. Bro. Arnel was General Secretary, a member of the Sanggunian, during the time of our late Executive Minister, Bro. Erano G. Manalo. He is loved and adored by brethren, including Bro. Erano himself. He is reported to have been kicked and abused during the interrogation led by Bro. Radel V. Cortez.

A truly sad day for the Church when ministers turns against other ministers so that their evil ways are not further exposed. Innocent after innocent ministers who have served the current and past Administrations with all faithfulness, who have given their lives and energy for the Church, are being punished because they are suspected of being me, or helping me, or sympathizing with the family of the late Bro. Erano G. Manalo. All three “crimes” are punishable by expulsion, and worse, DISAPPEARANCE OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!

As some of you may know by now, 9 of our Ministers, Workers and other brethren suspected of being either me, Antonio Ebangelista, or are helping me, have been dragged from their homes and held captive on orders from the Central Office. The ministers were abducted by armed men, some of them, INC and some not, but all without conscience, animals who cannot differentiate right from wrong. They only see what they hope to gain, financially and otherwise, from this heinous act against men of God.

The 9 others were taken from Sorsogon, Meycauayan, Cebu, and elsewhere and now, believed to have been moved to Camp Karingal in Quezon City. One of the 9 has been identified as Bro. Boyet Menorca, son of the late Bro. Lowell Menorca, former Administrative Secretary of the Sanggunian during Ka Erano G. Manalo’s Administration.

How swiftly the wheels of injustice moved, in this case, only 1 day after the appointment of a new PNP chief in the person of Ricardo Marquez, whom the INC has lobbied hard for.

My heart cries out for these innocent co-ministers, workers and brethren who are being treated worse than criminals — tortured, interrogated, and held against their will. They were arrested without warrants, their homes violated, their properties trampled on, gadgets stolen, their families traumatized, their close friends interrogated and watched. There is no human law to protect them because that law has been bought – yes, suspension of justice in exchange for votes and INC support this coming election.

First, they had Lito Fruto abducted, again without warrant, and then charged with made-up lies. Bro. Lito was expelled in April 2015 for helping the family of Bro. Erano and because he was making noise about his intimate knowledge of corruption inside the Church. Bro. Lito is out on bail but there are orders from the Central Office to “put him away”. It will be no surprise if he sings to their tune due to fear for his safety and his life in no time.

Now these 10 innocent ministers are being made to endure torture and illegal detention inside a government facility. There are overt threats that other brethren suspected of assisting me, will be next.

These reports continue to come my way that after AE, the family of Bro. Erano G. Manalo will be the final target. They are now heavily guarded by men sent by the Sanggunian, not to protect them, but to make sure they won’t be able to escape. What they have planned for them, I cannot begin to describe, so allow me to quote the report in Tagalog.

We have been busy trying to sort out the truth from the lies being woven and spread by the wily Sanggunian. If you want the truth, this is where you go. This blog is the official source of news updates on this topic.

Here are the facts (verified true and accurate) as of 7/19/2015 early morning, Philippine time:

1. Bro. Nolan Olarte from Cebu is among the 9 ministers abducted.

Updating our list, so far, we have identified the following ministers:

a. Bro. Boyet Menorca, Sorsogon – handcuffed while officiating worship service, white cloth thrown over his head

b. Bro. Joven Sepillo, Tacloban

c. Bro. Nolan Olarte, Cebu

2. Families of abducted ministers are under strict orders to keep their mouths shut or more terrible fate will befall their abducted minister family member.

3. Some brethren have reported seeing Bros. Arnel Tumanan and Jun Samson at the worship service in Templo yesterday, after we’ve reported Bro. Jun’s expulsion and the two of them being under house arrest. DON’T BE FOOLED, brethren. This is a ruse, a trick. Bros. Arnel and Jun were under strict instructions to act normal, as though it were business as usual, so that the brethren would not suspect anything is amiss. They were being watched the whole time. They will even put them on TV if necessary to deceive you. The Sanggunian wants to make me out to be a liar, after I’ve reported on this blog their true situation.

4. Bro. Arnel Tumanan, and Bro. Jerson Samson (who has been expelled) and the 9 abducted ministers, have been moved to a secret location. Bro. Jun Samson was taken as well but afterward, was taken back to the Central compound housing, where he was seen this morning finishing up on packing their belongings.

5. Radel Cortez (I can’t even call you “Brother” anymore), has led all the interrogations and house arrests, venomous words spilling out of his fuming mouth, while ordering the physical beating of the ministers.

6. Ministers and family members were asked to surrender their passports to the Central Office to ensure that they will not be able to leave country should they decide to escape. This is a violation of Republic Act 8239, THE PHILIPPINE PASSPORT ACT OF 1996, Section 11 which reads:

Sec. 11. Ownership of Passports. — A Philippine passport remains at all times the property of the Government, the holder being a mere possessor thereof as long as it is valid and the same may not be surrendered to any person or entity other than the government or its representative: Provided, That a Filipino citizen may voluntarily surrender his/her passport to a Philippine Service Post for storage and safekeeping for which a proper receipt shall be issued for use when reclaiming the passport at a later date.

It is also a violation of international human rights law which considers freedom of movement an indispensable human right. As per Article 13 of the International Declaration of Human Rights:

Article 13.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.

(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.

They may have limited my resources, I may have to move from place to another, hide in caves if I have to but I will never stop telling the truth and exposing the lies of the Sangunian and the District Ministers and Minsters and Workers they have influenced to do evil and stray away from the righteous teachings we have received from our Lord God. To Radel Cortez and the rest of the corrupt members of the Sanggunian, let me tell you now… BRO. ARNEL TUMANAN IS NOT THE MAN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. NEITHER IS BRO. JUN SAMSON. OR ANY OF THE MINISTERS YOU HAVE ABDUCTED. You have, once again, manifested to everyone your STUPIDITY, RECKLESSNESS, AND DESPERATION. You are scrambling to take anyone, ANYONE at all, whom you suspect might be AE. Well, I AM HE, and you have NOT and will NEVER be able to get me. I am protected by God Almighty, shielded from your evil and murderous clutches. Your days are numbered. God’s patience with you has worn thin!

This morning, a video of Ka Angel Manalo (Eduardo's younger brother) and Mrs. Tenny Manalo, widow of the late Eraño G. Manalo and the mother of Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, the present Executive Minister, was posted in YouTube asking for help while they are living under threat.

While the video received a few thousand views in the first few hours when it was first posted, as of 4:00 PM, Thursday, 23 July 2015, it has reached 107, 961.

Soon, Rappler picked up story and made it available online.

At noon, one of the most powerful news media in the Philippines made the BREAKING NEWS announcing of the EXCOMMUNICATION of Mrs. Tenny Manalo and Ka Angel Manalo, mother and brother of the present Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo. The announcement was made by INC™'s General Evangelist Bienvenido Santiago (video below is made available by Rappler)

After the announcement was made, major media outlet circulated the same story.

INC™ members are quick to throw their bitter judgment to the whole Catholic Church when a Catholic priest is accused of doing what is contrary to the doctrines of the Church. But when this issue among the MANALO CLAN was first been made public by a certain KA ANTONIO EBANGELISTA, INC™ didn't accept it as true. Instead, they hurled insulting words against Ka Antonio and his blog was even hacked (http://iglesianicristosilentnomore.wordpress.com) with the caption "This blog is now silent. No More. Iglesia Ni Cristo remains!!!"

ReadMeINC, the hiding INC™ MINISTER was caught unaware that today, his beloved INC™ will be exposed of its deep seated feud between the group of the sitting Executive Minister, bullying his OWN MOTHER and his OWN BROTHERS and SISTERS.

What kind of a SON is EDUARDO V. MANALO? His public display of DISRESPECTING his OWN MOTHER and his blood BROTHERS and SISTERS is a violation of the Fourth Commandment God which is "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you"(Ex. 20:13; Deut. 5:16)

How could he, the Executive Minister of a religion VIOLATES the very commandments of God?! He should remember that Felix Manalo, treated his OWN MOTHER even they weren't members of his founded church. As a matter of fact, members of his church acknowledged that truth.

The Reasons Why He Cahnged His Name to "Felix Y. Manalo"

The PASUGO tells us that Brother Felix changed his name to "Felix Y. Manalo" because of his great love and affection for his mother. That he grieved his mother's death so much he decided to used his mother's surname. However, there was another reason why he changed his durname - he and his siblings wanted to have only one surname. Yes! It was not only Brother Felix Y. Manalo that changed his surname, but also his brother and sisters. The four siblings have different surnames - Felix and Praxedes were using "Ysagun" and Baldomero and Fausta were using "Mozo." The father of Felix and Praxedes was Mariano Ysagun, while the father of Baldomero and Fausta was Clemente Mozo. Their mother married twice. So, it is unlikely that Felix and Praxdedes use "Mozo" becuase they are not "Mozos," and it is unlikely that Baldomero and Fausta use "Ysagun" because they are not "Ysaguns." Thus, "Manalo" is the most logical and practical because they are all "Manalos." Brother Felix's siblings indeed used the surname "Manalo." Their records and families attested to this.

If their founder Felix Manalo honored his own mother, why is it that his grandson Eduardo DISHONORS his own mother and brothers and sisters?

Despicable! Unbecoming of an Executive Minister!

I have no other words to describe Eduardo as I myself love my mother with a true son's love. It will be interesting to watch the upcoming INC™ bloggers's articles what would they say after this news has violently erupted like a dormant volcano.

Let me guess. Those who would defend Ka Eduardo's disrespectful gesture towards his own mother are the ones who are SLAVES OF MONEY. They're cowards. They are afraid to defend the truth. They are afraid to stand up for what is morally right and going against the wishes of Ka Eduardo means, kicking them out of the INC™ Church therefore, leaving behind their salaries, housing, allowances. They are afraid to lose their jobs. Oh paid ministers!

To Ka Tenny Manalo, Ka Angel, Ka Marc, and their two sisters, claim what is yours. You have legitimate children of Ka Erdy, you shouldn't be afraid. Be bold. I believe that you have goodness in you. Use that, and find the light of God's salvation, not in a man-made church founded by your late grandfather but a Church founded by God.

JESUS IS WAITING FOR YOU IN HIS TRUE CHURCH! If your own church dishonored you and disowned you, there is a CHURCH which is ready to welcome you. But you must DECLARE THAT JESUS IS GOD, and you will surely be saved!

Iglesia Ni Cristo Executive Minister Eduardo “Ka Eduardo” Manalo’s official declaration on 23 July 2015 to expel his mother, Cristina “Tenny” Villanueva,his two brothers Felix Nathaniel or “Angel” and Marco Erano, and sister Lolita or “Lottie” did not come as a surprise to the millions of members of the religious sect founded by Manalo’s grandfather, Felix Y Manalo, in 1914.

The schism and purge at the INC had gripped the INC community for months through the blog site, Iglesia ni Cristo: Silent No More, which is managed “Antonio Ramirez Ebangelista” who the Inquirer described as a “deep throat” in the inner sanctum of the organization which turns 101 years old on the same day the President makes his final State of the Nation Address.

Here are the juicy stuff from the Pandora’s box opened by AE:

1) Alleged abduction and torture

The blog site claimed that three long-serving Iglesia brothers were abducted and tortured to force them to spill the beans on who were behind the group fomenting dissension among the INC faithful. Ebangelista also claimed that at least 9 other INC ministers were picked up by Central Office goons from their homes and brought to Camp Karingal in Quezon City. The INC has denied these as mere allegations.

2) Extravagant lifestyle of INC officials

The blog site exposed how ministers under Ka Eduardo’s watch suddenly living a lavish life with their purchase of bigger houses, luxury cars (such as BMWs and Lamborghini) , and expensive bags and other accessories.

3) Bad investment decisions

The conscience group claimed that the INC acquired two helicopters and an Airbus under Ka Eduardo’s watch. Ka Eduardo also pursued the construction of the mammoth Philippine Arena in Bulacan even when the cost has ballooned to $200 million.

4) Fire sale of INC properties

The blog site enumerated properties sold by Ka Eduardo including rest houses in Baguio and Tagaytay, tracts of land in the United States, and a prime property along Roxas Boulevard close to Pagcor City. The INC has defended the sale of these assets claiming that these were idle and that the money could be used for other needs of the INC.

5) Money-spinning ministers

The blog site also made allegations that members of Ka Eduardo’s inner circle had controlled lucrative contracts in the religious organization including the production of uniforms and exclusive concessionaire contracts in INC events..

6) Creation of political liaison office

When Ka Eduardo took over in 2009, he restored the ‘political liaison’ office allegedly under who allegedly served as the go-between the INC and the politicians who want to take advantage of the sect’s bloc voting members.

Rappler, MANILA, Philippines – Who is Glicerio Santos Jr and what is his role in the current feud that’s wracking the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC)? Why has his name been dragged into the controversy?

Those sympathetic to the side of INC expelled minister Felix Nathaniel "Angel" Manalo and his mother Cristina "Tenny" alleged it was Santos who alienated INC executive minister Eduardo Manalo from his family.

This was supposedly part of a power play and struggle that saw several old INC officials being kicked out after the death of the former executive minister, Eraño "Ka Erdy" Manalo.

The elder Manalo was known for his austere lifestyle, resisting calls from concerned Iglesia members for him to seek medication when he got ill. INC insiders told Rappler "Ka Erdy" believed that money collected from members should not be spent by him. "Pera ng Diyos (money of God)," as he called it, was not meant for him.

Not long after Eraño’s death, the Iglesia's Sanggunian or Council under the new executive minister Eduardo underwent a purge. Eraño’s other son Angel and his wife Tenny could not do anything about it because Eduardo had already assumed the post of executive minister. The mother had not spoken with the son since then.

Only one of the 12 members survived the Sanggunian shake-up: Glicerio Santos Jr.

Entrusted

“Pinakabilin-bilinan siya ni Ka Erdy (Eraño) kay Ka Eduardo,” said one INC member. (Ka Erdy entrusted him to Ka Eduardo.)

The elder Eraño had advised his son Eduardo to always listen to the good counsel of Santos, who was also known as "Kidlat" because he was “quick to act” and was able to deliver on difficult tasks assigned to him. “If there’s an impossible task, give it to Santos,” the INC member who has contacts with church higher-ups said.

Santos was appointed treasurer and general auditor of the church’s finances. He held considerable power, but to members, he was simply known to be in charge of “pananalapi” or church funds.

Also described as a "bean counter and bureaucrat" by others who knew him, Santos, now about 76 years old, showed a willingness to "adapt to the new leadership," another INC insider said.

He eventually became more entrenched as his own son, lawyer Glicerio Santos IV, became legal counsel of the Iglesia.

Referring to the elder Santos, the other INC member said, "Everyone knows he's the number 2 guy. He is the second most powerful man in the INC." If he isn’t the second most, he is certainly among the most powerful in the governing Council or Sanggunian.

Iglesia members who want to set their church back on the right path said it was Santos who was behind the recent big-ticket projects of the Iglesia (including the grand $200-million Philippine Arena), the purchases of properties both here and abroad, including the abandoned town in South Dakota which was reportedly purchased for $700,000.

His clout extends beyond the INC. Santos wields enough influence that he was reportedly able to intercede for Ja Hoon Ku, a Korean wanted in his country for allegedly embezzling over $200 million from his company. Ja, who was a contractor for the Philippine Arena, had become an Iglesia convert.

The Korean was detained by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in January 2014 after the Korean embassy sought his arrest and deportation. But he was granted temporary liberty when Malacañang, through Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, issued an order on March 19 of the same year allowing Ja's provisional liberty – he would be free until August 31, 2014 or until his appeal was resolved..

A report by ABS-CBN said that the BI placed Ja under the custody of Santos as part of Ochoa's order. In the same order, ABS-CBN said that "Glicerio B Santos Jr, General Auditor of the INC, should be required to execute an Affidavit of Undertaking specifying that he will absolutely be responsible for Respondent's custody."

Family enterprise

For this story, we sought to interview INC spokesperson Edwil Zabala but he could not be reached. But in an earlier interview with Rappler, Zabala said Iglesia may hale to court anyone who makes false accusations against the church.

"Sa tamang lugar, sa tamang paraan, ang Iglesia haharap, sasagot kapagka mayroong ipineprisintang pruweba,"he said. (The Church will face the allegations at the proper time and if there is evidence being presented.)

The INC chief has reposed his full trust and confidence in Santos bordering on blind faith such that, he may know more about the finances of the INC than the executive minister himself.

If the Manalos are considered by many as the spiritual heads of the INC, Santos and his family – based on official documents – appear to be controlling vital operations of the church.

With 3 already locked votes, they can easliy control decisions on how to run the businesses and non-profit NGOs of the INC. We have verified at least 8 entities where members of the Santos family have a presence.

Latest 2013 financial statements submitted to the SEC showed that the FYM Foundation declared P128,273,658 in fund balances, while its sister company, the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation reported P1,011,763 for the same period.

FYM Medical Foundation declared P20,956,809 in fund balances in 2013, while Unlad International registered a fund balance of P26,213,599. Based on a video posted on the INC's official website, Unlad International has set up training centers on garment manufacturing and eco-farming for INC members, and indigenous communities in various parts of the country.

Maligaya Development Corporation posted a net income of P1,482,599 for 2013. New Era last submitted a financial statement in 2008, when it declared a fund balance of P172,786,318.

Rappler: MANILA, Philippines – Unlike the Catholic Church whose assets are administered by autonomous dioceses, the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) appears to be monolithic, allowing a single person or group of persons to be entrenched in as many INC organizations, foundations or businesses as possible.

In the case of the INC, the footprints of the family of INC auditor and minister Glicerio Santos Jr, appear to be all over the local corporations and foundations of the sect.

In the Catholic Church, which is registered as a "corporation sole," the bishop is a mere temporary caretaker of assets, with the administration of temporal or ecclesiastical assets put under the name of the diocese. This ensures the efficient transfer and administration of Church assets whenever there is a change in leadership.

And because each archdiocese or diocese is autonomous, bishops are not supposed to meddle in the affairs of other dioceses, especially where financial matters are involved. Every diocese has a finance council that makes sure Church funds are being properly used. Despite the checks, the set-up is still imperfect and reports of misused funds still filter through.

Over at the INC where no similar mechanisms are in place, some disgruntled followers are up in arms over the control that one of their ministers, Glicerio Santos Jr, is exercising over church finances.

Santos has been accused of driving a wedge between INC executive minister Eduardo Manalo and his family. Eduardo Manalo’s mother Cristina or "Tenny" and brother Angel appeared on a YouTube video saying their lives were in danger. After they were expelled from the Iglesia, Angel later appealed to his elder brother to talk to them, to no avail.

Clout

Santos’ growing clout and control over the INC’s finances may be one of the reasons why he’s been tagged as the number 2 man in the INC.

His involvement goes beyond the Iglesia's local foundations and corporations, as he also holds executive positions in the different Felix Y Manalo foundations (FYM) scattered in the United States. He is also behind FYM-New Zealand and FYM-Canada.

Here’s what we found from mining corporate documents of the different FYM foundations in the US.

Among countries outside the US with an FYM Foundation branch, at least New Zealand and Canada disclosed online who their directors are.

With only a few exceptions, the personalities behind the FYM US branches are basically the same. Just like in the Philippine INC entities, the Santoses – Glicerio Jr, Glicerio III, and Glicerio IV – are also in most of the foreign-based foundations. One significant name found in the foreign-based Iglesia foundations is Dorothy Kristine Manalo Orosa, a lawyer and the eldest daughter of Eduardo Manalo.

Joy Yuson, a former coordinator of the INC media arm, accused the elder Santos of withdrawing funds from various bank accounts and channeling these to the foundations they control.

In a video posted on the Facebook account of user Sher Lock, Isaias Samson Jr, the former editor-in-chief of INC's official publication Pasugo, insisted that Santos was involved in corrupt practices in the church, and that INC spokeperson Edwil Zabala, general evangelist Bienvenido Santiago, and other ministers knew about it.

"Meron ka pa ngang termino, Kapatid na Bien, na sinasabi mo sa akin, wala tayong magagawa sapagka't siya ang apple of the eye ngayon ng namamahala, kaya kahit anong sabihin natin ay hindi pakikinggan. Nalalaman ninyo kung anong nangyayari,"Samson said.

(You even have a term, Brother Bien, and you tell me we cannot do anything because he is the apple of the eye of our leader, and anything we say will fall on deaf ears. You know what is happening.)

The INC hierarchy has denied the allegations and filed libel charges against Samson. (READ: Iglesia ni Cristo sues expelled minister for libel.)

Subic Bay-FYM foundation

Over at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), we found another foundation, the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation registered with the SEC in mid-2012.

The elder Santos also occupies the position of president, with his two sons, Glicerio Santos III and Glicerio IV, likewise on board. Vice president of the foundation is Manalo’s eldest, Dorothy Orosa.

A non-stock, non-profit religious organization, the foundation was classified under the "Leisure" industry among Subic locators. According to the SBMA website itself, leisure investment proposals handled by the department cover, among others, the following: casino and gaming; hotel, resort, restaurant/cafes, medical tourism, retail and duty free shops, and recreational and amusement centers/parks.

Subic insiders told us the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation was allowed to be categorized under "Leisure" because of a "special" request. The Iglesia had asked SBMA to let an INC member handle its application; the staffer turned out to be assigned to the Leisure department at the time.

SBMA Chairman and Administrator Roberto Garcia said the foundation is supposed to build a church inside the freeport to cater to both the "INC members who are SBMA employees" and to those who live near the site. When we checked, we found the land still idle, save for the traditional Iglesia fence.

Garcia said the foundation has not built anything on the property because it had asked for more time after soil tests revealed there were issues with the "soil foundation."

Yet it has paid "lump sum" for the lease of the property estimated to be about 1,000 square meters. Lease arrangements normally run for 50 years.

Santos had also sought amendments in the foundation's articles of incorporation, among them, to engage in "import and export transactions for the transportation, release and receipt of gifts, donations, endowments and financial aid necessary for the continuance of its services and to achieve its purposes and goals as a Foundation."

Because the foundation is located in Subic, it is entitled to locator privileges such as the importation of goods and other items tax-free.

The foundation listed its office as being "adjacent to the 14th gate of the Subic Freeport, Zambales, Philippines." When we checked, however, there was no such office, just barren land.

We tried calling the number indicated on the foundation's General Information Sheet. It turned out to be the trunkline of the INC central office along Commonwealth Avenue. We were told the Subic Bay-FYM Foundation does not hold office there. – with Chay F. Hofileña and Rey Santos Jr/Rappler.com

MANILA, Philippines - The conflict in the family that leads the influential religious sect Iglesia ni Cristo began even before INC former executive minister Eraño “Ka Erdy” Manalo died in August 2009, an insider said.

The insider recounted that before Eraño died of cardiopulmonary arrest, he allegedly had a misunderstanding with his eldest son Eduardo, the incumbent INC executive minister.

“From what I know, Ka Erdy found out that Ka Eddie’s wife Babylyn was planning to organize a new Iglesia. They were previously evicted from the central office [after the incident],” the source said.

“Ka Babylyn is one of the reasons for this conflict. She is the ally of the Sanggunian (church council) and from what I know, she is their boss,” the source added.

The insider also said that the conflict was one of the reasons Eduardo was rarely seen at the wake of his father.

Eraño died in the arms of Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo, younger brother of Eduardo. Before Eraño died, he told Angel to take care of the INC and all their people, a situation that Angel allegedly thought was his anointment.

There was a rumor that Angel was allegedly trying to take the leadership from Eduardo, but the source clarified that Angel does not want power “because he loves his brother.” Angel only wanted Eduardo to listen to him and “clean the corrupt” practices of the INC council.

But who should be the INC executive minister remains a question.

“We don’t know who would really lead the INC. In 1999, Ka Eduardo was appointed as the deputy executive minister, but Ka Erdy took it away from him when he discovered that his son’s wife was trying to establish a new religious sect,” the source disclosed.

From then on, the conflicts among the Manalo siblings have gotten worse, the insider recounted.

A short video posted on YouTube showed that Angel and his sister Lolita “Lottie” Manalo-Hemedez went to the INC Central Office in February to personally talk to Eduardo through the office of Rene Panoncillo, head of the INC human resource department. But they were told to go home.

“I talked to Ka Gerry and he coordinated with Ka Eduardo. The order of Ka Eduardo was, if you want to obey, you should go home. That’s all he said,” Panoncillo, who was caught on surveillance camera, disclosed.

The source said that Angel had been attempting to talk to Eduardo since 2014, but the “Sanggunian was blocking and doing everything” for him not to see his brother. – With Janvic Mateo
